The past 2 days have been a bit of a blur (jet lag is a bitch) but we had a super easy trip and Riley arrived safe and sound.
We’ve just been settling in, checking out the neighborhood, etc. We are in corporate temp housing for about a month or so in the Grand Canal area. There are tons of shops and restaurants and the area is bustling. Yet, people are very good about masks and social distancing!
Yesterday it appropriately rained a ton (however there was still some sort of kids’ camp with kids out in boats and jumping into the canal, even in the drenching rain - ha ha)
…but today it’s actually been completely gorgeous!
I’ve already noticed so many random things. People walk on the right or left side of the sidewalk, or both, without rhyme or reason, or stand smack in the middle to chat. There are lots of dogs and I have to see a neutered male. 🙄 Everyone has been so nice…from our taxi driver, Jay, who basically gave me a tour and historical perspective of Dublin on our way to get Riley, to the shop clerks, to passersby. oh, and everyone smokes!!
Looking forward to feeling rested and ready to truly sight-see!
I’ve heard that in Germany nobody neuters their pets. Yet I don’t think they’re overrun with strays. Canine chastity belts?
So glad you made it safe and sound. Looks like you’ve had a lot of fun the last few weeks. We were up at Donner the last several days and I thought about you guys a lot. It would have been so fun to get the girls together to play up there, hopefully someday. We couldn’t even get time at the pool there but it was still awesome. Looks like your new home is pretty amazing too. Look forward to seeing all your adventures. Kealani says hi to Sally. 😊
so happy to see you made it safe and sound. welcome to ireland, land of beauty and mystery!
