Last weekend the 3 of us took the DART to Howth. We had been pronouncing it “How-th” so there were lots of jokes about seeing “houthes” (“houses with a lisp) in “How-th” but it turns out it is actually pronounced: “Hoe-th” so the joke's on us. Howth is gorgeous. Like Monterey (CA) meets Chester (NS). Tons of boats and fish and chips.
We first walked along the jetty/sea wall to the Howth Lighthouse.
Then we did part of the Howth Cliff Walk followed by lunch at in the back patio (still no indoor dining and the weather was lovely anyway) at The House restaurant (see what I mean?) of Howth, rated as one of Ireland’s Top 100 restaurants (it was delicious).
